Frederick Buck, 19, was tried and convicted at the Old Bailey on 8 July 1830 for stealing one crown, four half-crowns, six shillings and four sixpences from the till of the Rose and Crown Hotel on 28 May 1830. He was sentenced to seven years’ transportation.

Crudely engraved token with six lines of text, the third line partially scored through:

Back:

Token engraved with the image of a heart crossed with two downwards facing arrows and a downward facing arrow in the centre. There is an initial on either side and one word engraved below:
