John Parker, 21, was tried and convicted at Warwick Quarter Sessions on 14 March 1837 for stealing a petticoat, shirt and coat from James Grundy of York Street, Birmingham. He was sentenced to seven years’ transportation, and sailed for New South Wales on the Asia on 20 July 1837.

Token engraved with stippled text and designs. The top half has the design of a tree. In the leaves at top is the date:

On either side of the trunk are the initials and numerals:

The lower half of the token is engraved with stippled text:
