1837: John Parker
John Parker, 21, was tried and convicted at Warwick Quarter Sessions on 14 March 1837 for stealing a petticoat, shirt and coat from James Grundy of York Street, Birmingham. He was sentenced to seven years’ transportation, and sailed for New South Wales on the Asia on 20 July 1837.
