John Bloxidge, a gun and pistol finisher, was convicted at the Warwick Quarter Sessions for highway robbery. He was sentenced to 15 years’ transportation and sailed for New South Wales on the Eden, departing 8 July 1840. In 1849 he was granted a ticket of leave for the district of Sydney, while remaining in the service of Thomas Turner, a contractor. He was given a conditional pardon in 1853.
